Who provides my child’s school lunch?

St. Katharine’s school lunches are provided by HC3S, a well-established company, who provide healthy, high quality meals. They use locally produced food whenever possible and offer a varied, nut-free menu with vegetarian options each day. HC3S can also cater for dairy free, egg free and wheat and gluten free diets.

What does my child get for lunch?

A school lunch consists of a meat or non-meat option, served with vegetables and salad, a carbohydrate (i.e. potatoes, pasta or rice) and a dessert of the day. An alternative to the day’s dessert will be available with a choice of fresh fruit, Yeo Valley yoghurt, rice pot or cheese and biscuits. There is also bread available for children and water for drinking.

Can I choose to pay for a lunch if my child is not eligible for free school meals?

For children in Key Stage 2 (years 3, 4, 5, 6) lunch can be purchased using the Wisepay system. Meals cost £2.20 per day and are purchased via Wisepay (read more here).

Can I view the menu choices?

There are three, weekly menus which can be viewed by clicking here. The menu is changed at Easter and October half term in order to offer seasonal meals.
